It is sourced from the very finest golden flax seeds shaved fresh and packed fast to maintain its wholesome goodness. We use only Meadowpure (tm) brand flax seeds because they have a unique, proprietary process for extracting the meal from the seeds without damaging the delicate essential fatty acid content.

Contains no yeast, wheat, soy, corn, dairy products, artificial colors and flavors, or preservatives.

Baking tips for Vita Flax: Ground flaxseed can be substituted for shortening or cooking oils at a ratio of 3 to 1 in baked goods. For example 1 1/2 cups of ground flaxseed can replace 1/2 cup butter, margarine or cooking oils in a recipe. In baked goods substituting flaxseed meal for cooking oil tends to brown more rapidly.
